Stacie's Chocolate Chip Surprise Cookies

The Story of Stacie’s Surprise Cookies

This recipe is from one of our amazing farmer’s wives- Stacie Shulthesis. We thought it’d be fun to share with you some of our farmer’s favorite harvest treats! In our August 2019 Newsletter, Stacie writes:

“When I travel to visit my extended family I am sure to take them their favorite kind- Stacie Surprise Cookies, affectionately named by my brother and cousin many moons ago. While baking for them prior to a hunting trip I was following a recipe, which called for three cups of chocolate chips, however, I only had one cup to work with. Quick on my feet, I decided to throw in a cup of butterscotch chips and a cup of white chocolate chips. When the boys returned from their hunting excursion they informed me that had given the cookies a special name of their own; Stacie Surprise Cookies and to this day, the name still sticks.”

She’s shared the recipe with us below! Hope you Enjoy!
